300ml
Wall adhesive used for bonding wall panelling to the wall
Glue screws wall adhesive is ideal for bonding our panelling and mouldings to the wall in conjunction with fixings like nails or screws. It's a solvent free construction adhesive, based on acrylic polymers, which adheres to most common builing surfaces. The adhesive cures by moisture to form a strong and durable bond, it can even be used on damp surfaces with the use of a primer.
Applications
It can be used indoors to fix wall panelling, skirting boards in both wood and pvc, thresholds, panels and ornamental framework on to various substrates such as masonry, plaster, chipboard, plasterboard and timber. It's also suitable for the adhesion of polystyrene foam and polustyrene tiles.
Directions of use
Cut the cartridge seal and screw the nozzle on, this should be cut to your required size. Using a sealant gun, apply the adhesive to one surface in a strip form, position the object into place and apply pressure. On large objects you may need to move the item slightly from side to side, applying pressure simultaneously, to achieve an effective and even bond. Finally, slide the item into the exact position required, temporary fixing or clamping may be necessary on unsupported items. Allow 24 - 72 hours depending on temperature and purosity of the surface before removing any support. Full bonding is usually achieved in 48 - 72 hours.
Surface preparations and finishing
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other loose material. At least one of the surfaces has to be porous in order for the adhesive to cure. Adhesion tests prior to application are recommended, tools should be wiped clean with a paper towel and can be washed in water whilst the adhesive is still uncured.
