How to install Beadboad Wall panel Kits
Beadboard wall panels are incredibly easy to install in your home.
Each panel has a lapped joint hidden in the groove designed to allow the boards fit snuggly together.
To install, draw a level line around the room at the panel height to ensure board is level when fitting. A spirit level can help ensure your create a level line at this point. Before applying adhesive, it is best to do a dry fit.
Once satisfied, apply a good covering of panel adhesive on the pack of the panel and place into position. Use fixing secure the panel to the wall.
For external or internal corners, cut off the lapped joint to get a straight edge where both panels meet. Again, using adhesive and fixings secure this to the wall. Apply some filler where both panels meet and leave to dry for sanding.
When securing the lapped panel, apply adhesive to the lapped side and the rear side of panel and set in place before fixing to the wall.
To finish, cut top trims using 45-degree mitre cuts to length and apply to beadboard facing with glue and fixings. If a top trim needs to be extended cut the end using a 45-degree cut on both lengths and secure together using adhesive.
